Party in the Park
July 14 – 16
Pack up and hit the road for one of the nation’s largest free music festivals July 14-16. Taking place in downtown Painesville’s tree lined Veteran’s Park, Party in the Park features acts from Ohio and across the U.S. performing continuously on three stages all day and into the night. The sounds of rock, reggae, jazz, blues, funk, soul, Motown, bluegrass, rockabilly and more.
Those attending all say the same thing; they can’t believe this fantastic event and musical lineup is in the little town of Painesville and it’s FREE!
Hosted by the Painesville Community Improvement Corporation, not only does the event feature outstanding music, there are over 40 fantastic food vendors and a beer garden with Great Lakes Brewing Co., Miller, Guinness and wine.
And the Party isn’t just for music lovers; there is something for the whole family – activities and games for all ages, a community stage hosting demonstrations, Kidzone with inflatables, a night time adult comedy showcase and classic and custom car shows. Happy July 4th
Happy Independence Day! A special thank you goes to all our veterans and military personnel.
For a day full of patriotic enjoyment, head over to the City of Mentor for the as they celebrate the opening the city’s brand new amphitheater with a free concert in the park at the featuring awesome bands, great food and refreshments! Bring a blanket or lawn chair.
Veterans Park in Mentor is the perfect choice for a picnic! The park protects the largest inland pond in the county, a remnant of original Ohio swamp forest. It offers four accessible fishing piers, a 1.78-mile loop trail through native wetlands with 830 feet of boardwalk, and a wetland/wildlife viewing area. There are picnic tables with grills, a 75-person shelter with a fireplace and clean restrooms. The park is also handicapped accessible making it the perfect location for the whole family.
Now on to the main event – fireworks! The City of Eastlake – co-sponsored with Willowick and Wickliffe – puts on a fantastic show every year. It will take place July 4 at the Lake County Captains stadium. Gates open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 9:55 p.m. Admission is free! Or, grab a blanket and a spot on the beach and join the fun at Fairport Mardi Gras for a great display at dusk
