By investing in our kids, our health and our neighbors the Lake County Y ensures everyone has access to opportunities to be healthy, confident and connected. From athletics, to education, to health services, to safe spaces, the Y fills the gaps where society falls short. Every person invested in the Dream House understands the impact the Y has in strengthening our communities.”

Karen Krauss and Kate Weaver, Design Co-coordinators for the Lake County Y 2017 Dream House, said “This years house is one of the largest we have built. With so many rooms, we were able to be creative and add rooms that we have never done before.”

“This Dream House has a combination of both sophistication, as in the large great room and amazing master suite, and whimsy with the yoga/meditation room and the pet retreat, as well as all of the beautiful amenities that visitors are used to seeing in the Dream House. Something for everyone… even man’s best friend,” Karen Krauss added.

“Building a better us takes hard work, dedication and most of all, collaboration. From planning and construction to managing daily tours, hundreds of volunteers give their time and talents to ensure we provide everyone with the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. A huge Thank You to our major sponsors for 2017 including Knez Homes, WKYC-TV3, The Chevy Network/Classic Chevrolet, and Guhde Flooring,” said Scott Taylor, Lake County YMCA Chief Advancement Officer.

Since 1993, Lake County YMCA Dream House has not only given a winning family the opportunity of a lifetime, but also provided more than $4 million (approximately $200,000 per year) for program and facility enhancements that allow the Y to engage children, families and seniors annually in diverse programs that deliver lasting personal and social change across our community.
