Celebrate the holiday season Friday, Dec. 9, as the Madison Chorale performs their annual Christmas Concert, entitled “Christmas Glories”, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison. Adding to the colorful tradition of the event, the Chorale performs each year dressed in renaissance costume.
The Chorale will perform a variety of seasonal musical selections ranging from sacred to traditional to popular. Special accompaniment will be provided by Jan Pavlinak and Vic Swanson on dulcimer, Danielle Jones on flute, Patrick Jochum and Winn Douglass on guitar, Kaye Haskins on recorder and Amy Murphy playing the tin whistle. There will also be a Irish dance performance by Kathleen Ziemba.
Under the direction of founder Mrs. Betty Jean Green, the Madison Chorale is comprised of 19 volunteer vocalists from Lake, Ashtabula and Geauga counties and has performed at private and public functions for over 30 years. The Chorale is sponsored by Rabbit Run Community Arts Association, a non-profit comprehensive fine arts association.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and is open to the public. Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 6345 Chapel Rd., Madison. Tickets are available at the door and are $7/adults and $6/seniors, students. Children under 12 are admitted free of charge.
